Christmas Presentation at Fellowship Presbyterian Church

by Don Martin

The Fellowship Presbyterian Church, located at 389 Bent Tree Drive will present its annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 7:00 PM.

"Tell Me The Story of Jesus" is an original production presented by the Chancel Choir, soloist and actors.  This is an intergenerational story of sharing the true story of Christmas.  Highlights of the more than 15 pieces in this special Fellowship Christmas Gift to our community.

Join in singing some of your favorite Christmas songs along with strolling carolers.

Receive the promise of Advent with “The Light Will Come” – with a mariachi flavor!

Recount the simple night when the Savior of all mankind and the ruler of the entire universe came to earth in “Long Time Ago.” Take note that there was “No Golden Carriage” no bright toy, no crystal palace and no great feast as “Still, Still, Still” reminds us that the night was so quiet that you could hear the falling snow.

Come quickly as we “Hurry on Down to Bethlehem” -- running to the manger with a gospel swing.

And before leaving with the triumphal “Joy to the World” take a few moments to ponder the amazing truth that over 2000 years after his birth and the chaos of the world we live in “Wise Men Still Seek Him.”

There will be a reception immediately following and all are invited to attend.

This is a beautiful little service and a great family hour, we hope you can join us.

A Soldier's Christmas

by Don Martin

I have seen this before and so have many of you.

Never-the-less, after spending many of my 28 years in the Army a long way from

my hearth and home, it strikes a chord that really resonates.  I you have a

service person in your family, you know one, or you just pass one in the airport

this holiday season, take a moment to tell them how much you appreciate their

service and their sacrifice.

Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
